If you want to experience the true essence of clubbing in Ibiza, look no further than Pacha. It is Ibiza’s original, iconic clubbing brand that has attracted the world’s biggest names in music for 6 entire decades. Pacha celebrated its 50th birthday in 2024, which was arguably the club’s biggest season yet.

Whilst its double cherry logo is now known the world over, including 9 other clubs, Pacha Ibiza remains the spiritual home of an Ibizan Institution that many call the jewel in the crown of nightclubs all over the globe.

In 1967, brothers Ricardo and Piti Urgell opened their first nightclub in Sitges, near their hometown of Barcelona. The name Pacha originated from a remark from Ricardo’s first wife that they would be able to “live like a Pachá” (an Arabian prince) due to the money that they would earn from their venture.

Skip forward 6 years to 1973. Having seen the booming popularity of the island in a post-Franco (Spanish dictator) world, the brothers set their sights set on Ibiza. They purchased a plot of land just north of Ibiza Town in Talamanca which had nothing but an old Spanish farmhouse (or “finca”) on it. Do you recognise the building below?

Pacha Ibiza was built, and the rest as they say is history. Unlike many clubs in Ibiza, Pacha typically stays open throughout the winter, showcasing local and international talent. Piti was still DJings at one of the club’s longest running nights, “Flower Power”, until just a few years ago.

The Pacha group would go on to build a hotel next to the club, and also own other nearby venues including Lío (previously known as El Divino, located by the port), and Destino (a luxury hotel in the hills a short distance away).

The original club in Ibiza is now looking better than ever after extensive refurbishments in recent years.

Pacha Ibiza’s capacity can hold up to 3,000 people.

There are two rooms at Pacha, though you’d be forgiven for thinking there was only one. Indeed, the main room is the centerpiece of the entire club. Its dancefloor is slightly sunken to the ground in the centre of the room, with the DJ booth raised immediately adjacent to the main VIP area.

As you explore the club, it’s quickly evident you have a variety of choices to get a viewpoint of the main room’s DJ booth. There’s a large outdoor terrace with plenty of seating options to give you a short break from dancing and grab a drink.

Meanwhile, Pacha’s second room is more of a hidden gem. The Pachacha Room is located on your left as you enter the club, and is a far more intimate venue to catch a set if the main room is too packed.

Pacha uses a d&b V-Series sound system, and a HARMAN Martin lighting system.

If you know Pacha, then you know that VIP has a strong presence emphasis throughout the club. Other tables are dotted around at various levels in the room.

VIP at Pacha is the quintessential luxury experience in Ibiza. The club offers a large range of VIP tables and areas across different levels in its main room. The most premium of these areas will have you nearly rubbing shoulders with the DJ, right in the middle of the dancefloor.

Tables prices are usually based on groups of 4. Perfect for couples, friends, or anyone you’re lucky enough to be in Ibiza with 😀

It’s no surprise that the club still attracts some of the biggest names in dance music, however in recent years its music policy has changed to include more underground, emerging promoters.

Pacha Opens its doors on Friday the 24th April, with a series of Opening Weekend parties from the likes of Marco Carola, Solomun, and ANOTR.

Main man Marco Carola will of course return with his incredible Music On Parties on Fridays.

Sonny Fodera returns for another huge season every Monday, and Roger Sanchez will host Flower Power on Saturdays. ABRACADABRA by BLOND:ISH will be back on Wednesdays between May – July.

Purple Disco Machine receives his first residency at Pacha, taking on the Thursday slot.

If you’re looking for superclubs in San Antonio, you’ve come to the right place.

Opening its doors over 20 years ago, Eden Ibiza recently had a complete makeover and without doubt stands out as the pinnacle of clubbing on the west of Ibiza.

Eden is located right in the center of San Antonio Bay. It stands on the original location of the Star Club, which then became known as the Kaos Club in the 90s. In 1999, Eden was born, offering direct competition to rival club Es Paradis practically next door to it.

Many associate Eden with the swath of British DJs who made Ibiza a hugely popular destination in the 90s & 2000s. Judge Jules’ Judgement Sundays were a mainstay of the club – check out this video from 2000 for a real throwback of clubbing back then.

In 2013 the club underwent a much needed refurbishment under its new Dutch owners Michael van der Kuit and Rinco Soesman.

With its new shiny look, the club has been going from strength to strength. Unlike other Ibiza superclubs, Eden has been able to cater to a younger, more budget conscious audience who still want to have the full Ibiza clubbing experience.

Eden has two rooms, the main room and its smaller NeXt room. The club can hold up to 5,000 people.

The main room is located over 2 floors, in a theatre like layout where a first floor mezannine looks down below. Two VIP areas can be found both on the ground and first floors, looking over the DJ booth.

The NeXt room is a far more intimate space holding 350 people in total.

The club boasts a state of the art Incubus VOID soundsystem, and a custom DiGidot lighting system from InventDesign.

At Eden Ibiza you can expect some of the best underground house music nights in Ibiza at affordable prices.
