Octan is Ibiza’s newest club, bringing an underground vibe to Ibiza that was sorely missed for much of the 2019 season. You may have visited before… the venue formerly occupied by Sankeys reopened its doors in July 2019 after much deliberation over the future of the club.

Located just a stone’s throw from Playa d’en Bossa, the location is perfect for the large population of clubbers who are staying on the east of the island. It’s the perfect antidote to the glitz and glamour of superclubs Hi, Ushuaia and Pacha, all of which are located nearby.

Indeed, Octan is a different Ibiza clubbing experience altogether. Its main space, the Basement, has low ceilings, minimal lighting, and has undoubtedly intimate-feel about it, yet it still has a capacity of over 1,200. “Gritty” is a good way to describe it, as Steve Lawler explained in his interview with Mixmag during the club’s launch. His Warriors night was a mainstay at Sankeys, and is still the only real “residency” of the club since it emerged back on the scene.

Add some other rooms to party (including a decent sized roof terrace). Scrap the VIP areas, throw in a pumping VOID soundsystem, and a renewed focus on the clubbers’ experience (think queueing, toilets, entry, bars) and you get an idea of how things are being reimagined at the club.

With a series of successful one-off parties under its belt, and lots of improvements throughout the club being prepared for the upcoming season, there’s clearly a lot to be excited about at Octan. And if you can’t wait for the summer season to get going, Octan has a winter schedule with the club opening most weekends too.

Pikes’ history goes way back. Set up by Tony Pike in the 1970s, some of the world’s most famous names were frequent guests at the hotel, situated a short drive from San Antonio to the west of Ibiza.

Perhaps most famously, Freddie Mercury was a recurring guest, who even now has his own room named after him. To say you’ve danced in Freddy Mercury’s old hotel room is one of those things you could only really say in Ibiza.

Then of course there’s the swimming pool, made famous by Wham’s Club Tropicana music video, which was shot at the hotel. 

It’s all part of a venue that you get a sense has seen it all over the years. In 2011, Ibiza Rocks took ownership of the venue and modernised it to what the hotel is today.

From a club perspective, don’t expect a huge sweeping dancefloor as if you’re in a super club. No, what you should prepare for is more the feeling that you’re at a house party in the middle of the Ibizan countryside. To be honest, that’s pretty much what it is. It’s like nowhere else, and it is fantastic.

The club is not open every night, and the music policy varies considerably throughout the week, so plan your trip carefully. With that said, Pikes is not the sort of venue you simply stumble into, so if you’re heading there to party, you can be sure you’ll be there with some other like-minded friends.

Parties at Pikes usually have free entry, however you will need to apply for guestlist directly through their website.

O Beach Ibiza (formerly Ocean Beach) celebrated its 10th birthday in 2022, and has proved time and time again that it consistently offers the best daily pool parties on the island throughout the summer in San Antonio.

O Beach is about good times, great music, and a VIP experience at the most affordable prices you will find on the island. With such a winning formula, it’s no surprise that the club is now open every day of the week.

O Beach is set for its biggest season to date in 2026. And we’re ready for it!

O Beach Ibiza started life as Ocean Beach Ibiza, opening its doors in 2012. Business partners Tony Truman and Duane Lineker had a vision to create a ‘daytime destination’ on the west coast of Ibiza, with San Antonio being the perfect location for the venue.
Both Truman and Lineker had significant experience running businesses in Ibiza already. Truman brought his business acumen and party promoting experience. Lineker had already seen success alongside his father Wayne in operating venues in San Antonio such as Lineker’s bar, opening in 2008.

Seeing the emerging demand of daytime partying on the island, the partnership came together to open Ocean Beach Ibiza. Since then the club has gone from strength to strength hosting themed daily pool parties that attract clubbers from all over the world.

In 2018 the club’s name changed from Ocean Beach Ibiza to O Beach Ibiza due to trademark issues.

O Beach Ibiza has capacity for up to 2,000 guests.

The venue’s layout means that the main stage receives great views from nearly every part of the club. There’s a raised roof garden to the north that looks over the rest of the venue and out towards San Antonio Bay: this is the best place to get away from the madness too!

The VIP area has the best views of the stage, with an assortment of beds both in the pool and right next to it. There’s also a Jacuzzi garden table which can take up to 8 guests. 

The music policy is by and large classic and modern house. Over the years, parties have ranged from the classic sounds of Hed Kandi, to the more contemporary Kisstory and Soul Heaven. O Beach offers something for clubbers both young and old!

New for 2026 will see O B Music on Thursdays – serving a killer mix of the biggest DJs and fresh new talent.

And don’t worry, you don’t need to book a VIP bed to get in. Many parties cost €20 entry when buying advance tickets, which is fantastic value for a party you won’t forget. 

O Beach opens its doors on Friday the 24th April 2026 for its soft opening.

Its Grand Opening Party takes place on Friday the 1st May 2026.

The O Beach Closing Party takes place on Sunday the 11th October 2026.

Boasting incredible views of Dalt Vila and the Old Town from its Talamanca location, Lío is an extremely versatile venue that offers everything from cocktails, cabaret, and clubbing into the early hours.

You can see the venue transform throughout the day from restaurant, to cabaret venue, to full blown club after 1am. There are not many venues in Ibiza that can pull off such a wide offering – a trip to Lio is one you’ll remember for a long time.

The crowd is more mature, and dresses to impress. It’s likely you’ll rub shoulders with some of the famous guests that frequent Lio on a very regular basis… don’t forget to play it cool ?

From a clubbing perspective, Lío has diversified considerably in the last few seasons. With residencies from Felix da Housecat, 2manydjs, and Sebastian Gamboa, you won’t struggle to find a party that matches your taste.

If you’re looking for an all encompassing entertaining night when you’re in Ibiza, Lío is definitely worth considering.

Located a short drive from San Antonio, Benimussa Park began life as a zoo, and is now the home of the Zoo Project’s weekly parties in Ibiza.

As you can imagine with a former zoo, the entire space is open air, and there are plenty of spaces to explore including swimming pools, large dance floors, and the infamous seal pit. 

Whilst the venue is synonymous with The Zoo Project, the venue has been used for other one off parties in recent years. In 2019, both Cocoon and We Love… both host events at this versatile and very fun venue.

The Ibiza Rocks brand breathed fresh air into Ibiza’s party scene over 15 years ago when it boldly brought new genres of music to San Antonio.

Fast forward to 2026, it has now established itself as the forerunner for the best daytime parties on the west of the island at its recently refurbed hotel, just a stone’s throw from the sunset strip.

Let’s take a trip back to 2005. Back then, Britons Andy McKay and Dawn Hindle had already built a formidable reputation on the island after creating the legendary Manumission party at Club Ku (now known as Privilege).

McKay believed there was a gap in the market for 20-somethings who wanted to come to Ibiza to experience more than just a DJ set. The couple took a small venue in San Antonio and for the next three summer seasons booked the likes of Kasabian, Babyshambles, The Artic Monkeys and The Kaiser Chiefs perform. The Ibiza Rocks brand was alive and kicking.

After three successful seasons, an opportunity arose to purchase the family hotel Club Paradiso Mediterraneo just down the road, close to the sunset strip. In doing so, it became rebranded as the Ibiza Rocks Hotel, which remains the location where you can find their daily poolside parties throughout the summer.

The Ibiza Rocks Group still own the original venue in the bay, now called the Ibiza Rocks Diner. The group also own other hotels in Ibiza and Mallorca, including the legendary Pikes Hotel.

Ibiza Rocks Hotel is located in the heart of San Antonio, a stone’s throw from the sunset strip.

The hotel’s 368 rooms are situated across 4 floors, looking over the main courtyard to the stage and swimming pool. Daily pool parties typically take place from 2-9pm, with stage setups varying, depending on the party that day.

Guests of the hotel receive entry to the daily parties, so you can expect both the dancefloor and balconies above to be packed no matter where you look.

Ibiza Rocks uses a VOID soundsystem, the same company that provide sound to DC10 and Eden.

In previous seasons you could expect the likes of Craig David, Ben Hemsley, Stormzy, DJ EZ, Cuckooland and many more of the UK’s biggest artists to grace the decks at Ibiza Rocks.

Ibiza Rocks will open its doors on the 26th April 2026 for its Opening Party.

The famous DC10 turned 20 last season. Whilst the club has gained in popularity during that time, it is still the undisputed king of underground clubbing in Ibiza.

DC10’s history traces back to 1986. Back then, brothers Sito and Antonio Lara bought a disused aircraft hanger and converted it into a discreet makeshift dancefloor for small gatherings of local partygoers. The venue was nearly called U2, due to the band’s popularity at the time (can you imagine that now!?). However, DC10 was named after the aircraft model, which has since been discontinued.

It wasn’t until 2002 when DC10 really hit the global stage. Italian promoters Andrea Pelino and Antonio Carbonaro wanted to throw a free party where the music wasn’t tied to any single genre. With Sundays at the legendary Space being one of the most popular parties in Ibiza at the time, many saw DC10 as the perfect venue to continue. Their party Circoloco was born, and Mondays in Ibiza have never been the same since.

The club has had licensing issues over the years, including a year long closure in 2008 after repeatedly violating its 65 person capacity by several hundred every week. Nowadays you can expect over 4,000 across its terrace, club and garden spaces. Despite the growing popularity of the club, it still remains distinctly different compared to the VIP and production heavy experience of Ibiza’s superclubs such as Amnesia, Pacha, Ushuaïa and Hï. Indeed, underground is the very essence of DC10 and its owners will keep it that way.

The names DC10 and Circoloco now go hand-in-hand, with Circoloco now known the world over as one of the most authoritative names in underground house and techno music.

Even though their parties take place in every corner of the globe, it is DC10 where it all started, and continues to be the most important venue that pushes new boundaries, and epitomises the “spirit of the underground” every year.

DC10 can hold up to 4,000 clubbers in total.

There are three distinct areas at DC10. The original dancefloor is the terrace, which used to be completely uncovered until 2006. Now it stands as the most popular room of the club for the headline DJs past midnight. The club room is located next to the terrace, also indoors. Meanwhile the garden stage offers an open air dancefloor, flanked by bars either side of it. 

DC10’s soundsystem had an extensive upgrade in 2018, and uses powersoft speakers.

The lighting system in DC10 compared to other clubs is minimal. You can expect its red drenched spotlights in most places, in keeping with the red, black and white theme of Circoloco.

Being so close to Ibiza’s airport, when you’re at the club you will frequently see planes passing overhead. Don’t forget to give them a cheer 😉

Back in the day, a small aircraft used to sit on the front of the club’s gates. It had to be removed since pilots were thinking there had been a crash landing!

Circoloco will of course return to DC10 in Ibiza every Monday in 2026, with its Opening Party on the 27th April.

Solid Grooves will return on Thursdays this season from the 4th June. Its closing party will take place on the 1st October.
