Es Paradis

Ibiza’s most beautiful club

Es Paradis is one of the original temples of Ibiza nightlife, a Roman-inspired pyramid of white marble, lush greenery and creeping vines that has been part of the San Antonio scene for over five decades.

It’s the spiritual home of the Fiesta del Agua – the iconic water party where the dance floor literally floods with 80,000 litres of water – and a rite of passage for anyone partying on the island’s west coast.

Where most of Ibiza’s clubs chase headline DJs and underground credibility, Es Paradis takes a different route: accessible, fun, visually spectacular, and refreshingly affordable. It’s the people’s superclub.

Es Paradis Ibiza History

Es Paradis opened in August 1975, making it the second oldest club on the island after Pacha. It was the brainchild of artist Lluís Güell, the creative mind also behind Café del Mar – and club owner Pepe Aguirre, whose stated mission was to design “the most beautiful music box.”

Back then, San Antonio was still a sleepy fishing village, and Es Paradis was originally an open-air venue with lush natural gardens and a retractable roof. Its reputation grew quickly, and as the village transformed into one of Europe’s most famous party destinations, Es Paradis grew with it.

In 1990, new island noise regulations forced the club to enclose the venue, leading to the creation of its now-iconic 120-tonne glass pyramid roof, topped with a tempting apple, which towers over San Antonio bay and is visible right across the resort.

Club Information

The club is best known for its pyramid-shaped glass roof and stunning interior, often described as one of the most beautiful clubs in the world. The space is designed like a lush indoor garden, with terraces and levels looking down onto the main dancefloor.

Capacity is around 3,000 people, with one main room that really comes alive thanks to immersive lighting and effects. The sound system is great, but here it’s just as much about the experience and atmosphere as it is about the music.

And yes – it’s home to the legendary water parties, where the dancefloor literally fills with water 💦
