Can Blanc is the villa for a group that wants the north coast to itself. The pool sits above the Sant Miquel shoreline, with pines around the house and sea views from the terraces. Benirràs is within driving distance, but this is a place to spend a good part of the day at home rather than dash between beach clubs.

The Vrbo listing advertises room for 20, although its own description suggests a smaller sleeping arrangement. We would ask for a room-by-room plan before dividing up the bedrooms. For a big family or group of friends happy to hire cars, the space and sense of privacy are the draw.

From the pool at Can Guerxonet, the hills roll down towards Ibiza's west coast. This is a restored Ibizan country house near Sant Agustí, not another white-box villa: timber beams and a courtyard give it some character, while the terraces and infinity pool are built for long afternoons outside. Cala Bassa, Cala Comte and Cala Tarida are all on the right side of the island for days out.

The listing gives six bedrooms for up to ten guests, so check which rooms suit your group. We'd pick it if you want a quieter base with a sunset view, then use a car to explore the beaches and restaurants nearby.

Cas Llop earns its place for the setting. Between Cala Molí and Cala Vadella, the house looks out over the sea and S'Espertar, with a broad pool terrace, barbecue and outdoor dining space. There is even a private path towards a small cove. It feels made for the kind of day when lunch runs late and nobody is in a hurry to leave.

Inside, the six bedrooms are spread over three levels, with the main living room opening towards the pool. Vrbo lists space for 14. Those levels are worth bearing in mind if your group needs step-free access; otherwise this is a strong west-coast choice for views and time outdoors.

Hacienda Ses Caletes feels a world away from the busier south. Set in the green hills between Cala Sant Vicent and Ses Caletes, it looks towards the sea through pines and junipers. The natural-water pool, shaded porch and large terrace make the outdoors the main event here. We'd bring a book and leave plenty of room in the itinerary for doing very little.

The house has five double bedrooms, two living rooms and a kitchen made for sharing meals. Vrbo lists up to 12 guests, so check the sleeping arrangement for the extra two. It is a north-east retreat first and foremost, with a car useful for beaches and longer trips across the island.

Villa Morna is a gentler sort of luxury: timber beams, a garden and a pool area with its own kitchen and shower. There are several terraces, so a group can spread out without spending every hour together. The house is near Santa Eulària, giving you restaurants, shops and east-coast beaches to explore by car while still coming home to a quiet setting.

Its five double bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, and the listing sleeps ten. That layout makes sense for families travelling together or a group of friends who want their own space. We like this one for easy days between the pool and the town rather than a trip planned around the late-night circuit.

Villa Triple X makes a very different case for itself. Up on the Cap Martinet hillside, it pairs sharp white architecture with an infinity pool, several terraces and a rooftop looking over Talamanca Bay. The rooms have en-suite bathrooms, and the house also has a lift and a private rooftop bar. This is the modern, design-led pick in our seven.

Vrbo lists four bedrooms and space for eight, including two single rooms, so check the bed setup before you book it for four couples. Marina Botafoch, Pacha and Chinois are relatively close by car, which makes this the obvious choice if Ibiza Town is as important to your plans as time by the pool.

Villa101 is all about the west-coast horizon. Its large grounds, 15-metre infinity pool and separate shallow chill-out pool give everyone somewhere to settle in, while the sunset looks out towards the islands off Cala Comte. There are outdoor dining areas and a kitchen with a barbecue, so staying in for dinner feels like part of the plan rather than a compromise.

The house has six air-conditioned bedrooms and the listing sleeps 12. Cala Bassa and Cala Comte are close enough for beach days by car, though the villa's position is private rather than walk-to-everything. We'd choose it for a group that wants space, a proper pool and the west-coast evening light.
