Berlin's DJ Pete, also known as Substance and one half of Scion, is a deep-techno purist shaped by the Basic Channel sound and years behind the counter at Hardwax. His sets prize dub-inflected texture and patience. On the island he plays Pyramid at Amnesia, offering a deeper, more spatial counterpoint to the party's harder edges.
