What is an Ibiza Beach Club?
When we say “Beach Club”, our definition is two things:
- It should be on the beach (obviously!)
- There should be a DJ playing live music
In other guides, you’ll see a lot of beach restaurants make their way into lists. For us, to be a beach club means there should be a more significant musical element – somewhere you can practise your dance moves!
Ok, now we’ve established that, let’s crack on 👀
Where are Ibiza's Beach Clubs?
Just like with its nightclubs, Ibiza’s beach clubs are generally towards the south of the island, with the exception being Nikki Beach club near Santa Eularia.
Towards the east in Playa d’en Bossa you have Beachouse, Nassau, and Playa Soleil, while Sa Trinxa is located at the end of Salines beach.
On the south coast, more centrally, there’s the beautiful Cala Jondal: home of Blue Marlin. Heading west, not too far from San Antonio, you have Cotton Beach Club and Cala Bassa Beach Club.
Other than Playa d’en Bossa, Beach Clubs can be difficult to get to. Don’t get caught out and book your return taxi ahead of time if possible!
What happens at Ibiza Beach Clubs?
All of Ibiza’s Beach clubs allow you to reserve a table, bed, or area, ahead of time. In some cases booking will be absolutely necessary, especially during July and August. So make sure you plan ahead!
You might go to the Beach Club to spend a long, leisurely lunch, followed by drinks afterwards. The beach clubs in our list all have DJs who will play throughout the day, with the likes of Blue Marlin turning into a club with a dance floor once the sun sets.
It’s also very common to see live musical performances at beach clubs, such as Cotton Beach Club where saxophonists and percussionists frequently join the DJ.
Eat, drink, dance, swim, relax – you can do it all at the Ibiza Beach Club of your choice!
How much are Beach Clubs in Ibiza?
Ibiza isn’t cheap, but you already knew that 😉. Entrance to Ibiza’s Beach Clubs is normally free, however some come with a minimum spend per person in order to secure a booking.
As a rule, you should expect to spend €100 per person for a meal plus a few drinks each.
For each of the Beach Clubs in our list, we’ve tried to give an idea of a two course meal, and the cost of a bottle of wine. We hope this will help with your research.
